Okanagan Fashion Institute Inc offers an enriching education in the artistic realm of clothing construction and Fashion Design. Modelled after the traditional one-room School house, Okanagan Fashion Institute is a funky, creative, and personable School, designed around the philosophy of "Hands on Learning" Since the beginning of time, fashion and art have stood as the most significant reflections of a culture. During the lavish Renaissance & Victorian Eras, through the strife & hardship or the World Wars, to the eclectic playfulness of the Seventies Disco Era, fashion is foremost in reflecting both a culture and time in History. As entertainment and the media continue to grow in magnitude, so does Fashion. Okanagan Fashion Institute Inc is intended to give students knowledge & training at the foundation of Fashion Design, as well as to inspire awareness & confidence in their unique ideas, skills, imagination & distinctiveness. Classes are small, encouraging enthusiasm, passion, creativity, individuality and the sharing of dreams & friendships. With the culmination of the Fashion Design Program, students will be experienced in conceptualizing a Design, visually bringing their imagination to life through Illustration and Pattern Making, to Sewing a finished garment. Upon Satisfactory completion of the Fashion Design Program, students will be awarded a Diploma in Fashion Design.
