The Nicola Valley Community Arts Council is a registered non-profit charitable society. Throughout its twenty-five years this arts council has been mainly involved with the performing arts. In March 2005, the Arts Council moved its office into the old courthouse in Merritt and after renovations the Arts Council opened the Courthouse Gallery to show a variety of mainly local artwork. The artwork in the gallery changes monthly and the gallery is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Volunteers greet visitors and guide them through the exhibits. The gallery is also being used for drawing and painting workshops and a schedule can be found under Courthouse Gallery. Contact Kim Leclair, director
