The Capital News to its original roots of being is a community newspaper with roots of local ownership. In August of 2003, the newspaper was sold to Black Press, the largest community newspaper chain in B.C. Integrated into the company’s Cariboo Press division, the Capital News has instantly become the largest press and newspaper member of the group.
