Robert and Lynda Jay opened JAY ESS MUSIC SCHOOL in the Spring of 1976 in Kelowna B.C. It is a private, family-oriented organization which seeks to provide a comprehensive array of affordable, personalized music programs for all ages. These programs are designed for all levels of ability from total beginners through advanced students, and taught by experienced, caring and talented teachers in a friendly and comfortable environment. Their goal is to ensure that all students enjoy the magic of music, and experience lifelong benefits from their musical experiences, whether they follow a professional career or make music for fun and recreation.
ROBERT JAY is a graduate of Trinity College London (UK), where he majored in Voice, Conducting, Composition and Piano. He has been involved in performance as a participant and music director in England and in Canada, including concertizing as director of the Okanagan Symphony Choir, and in Musical Theatre productions, notably Sound of Music, Camelot, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Guys and Dolls. Robert has been active in Dinner Theatre productions in all genres, is an accomplished jazz pianist and has produced a TV documentary.
